Mary grew up in Dove Creek. In her teens, she started training in Vail for her upcoming Paralympic tour as a ski racer. She skied all the classics in Europe, Norway, New Zealand and Japan. Her most memorable moment was winning gold in Giant Slalom in Salt Lake City. After her skiing career ended, she discovered that buying a lift pass without a sponsor wasn’t palatable and she worked as an EMT. Later, she completed the dental assisting program. Now she makes a great part of our team greeting old friends as they enter the office. She will increase her role in the office and by working in the front and in the operatories in the new year. At home, she loves to hang out with her son and her husband, Joe. We are pleased to have her and her welcoming personality as a part of our team. Dr. Walker has borrowed his wife, Errin from the realm of community development and has included her into the daily operations of the practice. She can usually be found hiding in the back paying bills and running the deposits to the bank on her bike. She is busy trying to learn the dental language spoken in the office and is excited to be a part of the family at Cortez Family Dentistry.
